The Midwest Taikai

Last weekend, I participated in the Midwest Taikai, the second such event since last year's in Dayton, Ohio. I had a great time. The draw was more than 100 people and over twenty Shidoshi from around the Midwest.

My great thanks go out to organizers Ethan Capers and Michael Russell who did an incredible job of envisioning and putting the event together. It was a tremendous opportunity for students and instructors alike to learn from the variety of talented voices in the Bujinkan and share ideas.

Next year's Taikai will be hosted by Shidoshi Michael Asuncion of Ann Arbor, Michigan. May we all show him our support.
